Recently I was scrolling through Instagram and came across a sponsored post that caught my eye. No disrespect to anyone, but most Instagram advertisements that I see are for very young or undeveloped brands, which is why this one stood out to me. I clicked the add and came across a brand named Envy Supply Co.

Their quality designs paired with the unique style of editing used in their visuals prompted me to reach out to do an interview right away. I’ve dealt with a lot of upcoming brands and I can separate most into two categories, those that seem like they know what they’re doing and those that still have a lot to learn. I could tell the owner of Envy Supply Co. knew what he was doing, but I still wasn’t expecting the extremely insightful conversation that we had about his brand and our business experiences. I had to cut off the interview around the hour mark because I had something else scheduled as well, but we could have gone on for way longer and will likely be doing a follow up interview at some point down the line.

Envy Supply Co. was created by Charlie Sarnie, a 19 year old who lives in New Hampshire. He originally started making shirts and selling them around school with a friend, but moved on to create his own brand by himself. The brand’s name was inspired by the hatred, jealousy, and envy that some people have for you when they see you doing well. Charlie designs and produces all of Envy Supply Co.’s products by hand in his basement which is pretty rare for a small brand. Check out our full interview with Charlie to learn more about his brand, the struggles of running a business at 19, and much more!
